I love books where I get totally lost in the plot and the characters - where I don't want to put the book down. Almost like a fear of missing something that will happen while I'm not reading it. Do you ever get so engrossed in the plot and the characters that you find them "following" you into the real world?

If there is one story/novel that you wish you were the one to have written it, what would it be?
