Caliber Comics’ Sherlock Holmes gets Dark in this new Graphic Novel

Posted on April 22, 2017 by Flames

Holmes and Watson are introduced to an impossible crime; a killing by a mythological creature; the dreaded Chimera, part lion, part scorpion, part goat!

But even if the death is some sort of sick hoax, it still means a hideous murder has taken place, which Holmes must solve. However dark forces swirl about the case, and an unsuspecting Holmes, besieged by doubts, has yet to contend directly with the most dramatic of those forces: Professor James Moriarty! A must for any Sherlock Holmes fan’s library collection. Released on newsstands in Australia, this will be the first time it is available outside of the country.

Described by writer Christopher Sequeira as Hammer Horror meets Holmes, the Dark Detective series has received numerous accolades from many Holmesian followers.

Sherlock Holmes: Dark Detective is available now in eBook format at DriveThruComics.com!

“Sherlock Holmes has long been featured in comic books, but few have the wit, literary style, and attention to detail found on every page of the Dark Detective! Every fan of Sherlock Holmes—whether a comic-book reader or not—will be enthralled by this brilliant series!”
– Leslie S. Klinger, editor of The New Annotated Sherlock Holmes and The Annotated Sandman

Also available now from Caliber Comics:

Mythos: Lovecraft’s Worlds

Remembered as the father of modern horror, H.P. Lovecraft is best known for tales of terror, cosmic abominations and especially his most famous creation, the dreaded Cthulhu!

Few realize, however, the true creative breadth and depth spanned by Lovecraft, who penned stories of horror but also of fantasy, science fiction and even humor. Within Mythos, writer Brandon Barrows and artist Hugo Petrus go beyond tentacles and evil gods to explore the rare corners and the myriad worlds created by H.P. Lovecraft and brought to you as an adapted graphic novel!

Some of the stories contained within: Pickman’s Model, The Strange High House in the Mist, The Curse of Yig, The White Ship, The Beast in the Cave, along with others to entertain.
