The animated Doctor Strange movie was a lot of fun and I’m hoping Marvel makes more of the same kind of feature. The live-action films based on Marvel characters have been pretty hit-or-miss over the last several years…

However, according to IGN, Del Toro Eyes Doctor Strange

Hellboy helmer wants Gaiman to script.

The buzz about Guillermo del Toro right now may be all about whether or not he’s directing The Hobbit (and its follow-up), but the filmmaker is also reportedly looking to give a certain Marvel Comics character the big screen treatment.

This could be a very cool movie, especially with Gaiman writing the script. The character has a lot of potential for twisted plots, clever characters and intense visuals. I’m thinking Hellboy mixed with Mirrormask.
