There is a great interview with Steve Wieck on RPGnet about the history of White Wolf (from magazine to publisher), how DrivethruRPG got started and where it is headed.

The history and future of DriveThruRPG.

Steve mentions some interesting history of the pdf market, what the company has learned since it started and where it is going. Teaming up with RPGNow certainly changed the market (although I’m not counting other pdf retailers like e23 and IPR out just yet, they each offer some much needed competition and some pretty great products that are not available at DTRPG). Steve also mentions DrivethruComics and non-gaming sites like DrivethruHorror that are worth checking out when you get the chance.

I’m a pretty big fan of eBooks and am excited to see them develop as a product. Amazon has released the Kindle and Borders is teaming up with Lulu with the company’s new Digital Center. As new “e-Readers” become available on the market I’m guessing more customers will start buying pdf products.

Naturally…you can start by buying some great horror games at the Flames Rising eBook Shop.
