I am sorry to say but both my wife and I had to stop reading it. You went a little too overboard with the phrases "the five young men" or the "young men". The story seemed like a zombie novel by the numbers. No intriguing characters or plot twists. You really stayed too close to the Romeero bible. It is one thing to be inspired by Dawn of the Dead and entirely another thing to just copy it. You just copied Romero. You need to put your own stamp on your zombie apocalypse. You need to get closer to works like The Rising by Keene. You seem like a nice guy but please work on the narrative and the wording. Better luck next time.
