Now I am going to read the Strain, just because it's co-written by Guillermo Del Toro. Your review also convinced me, even though I was already sold :) By the way, The Orphanage was not directed by Guillermo Del Toro. He produced it, though. And also he's a really nice person! Just awesome! The book is really good as well, I'd recommended to anyone who likes dark, scary, REAL vampire stories.
