Yesterday, I launched a theme week on my blog at www.mlvwrites.com ^[2] about all things girly and geeky. This week-long celebration is due, in part, to my new column debuting in July on the Geeks Dream Girl ^[3] website about freelancing for the hobby games industry.

The second reason, is because of something I said in my introductory post.

So far, I offered my take on so-called “games for girls” and launched a new contest this morning. The Freaking Fabulous Contest ^[1] prizes? I think they’re pretty awesome, because you get to choose what you want to win. One of those prizes is a twenty-five dollar virtual gift certificate sponsored by DriveThruRPG.com and DriveThruComics.com. How cool is that?
