It is a good time to be a Cthulhu Gamer. Lots of very cool new stuff has hit the shelves in the last couple of weeks. I did a review of the new Cthulhu Rising ^[1] board game from Twilight Creations last week.

The fun does not stop there, the Great Old One has been spotted all over the gaming world recently…

Everyone knows I’m a big fan of Skirmisher Publishing’s Cthulhu Live series and we have a handful of reviews on the site including The Old Man of Damascus ^[2] and the 3rd Edition Core Book ^[3].

Well they just came out with a new script called Sight Unseen ^[4], which looks very, very cool:

Can we trust our senses? How do we know that what we see is real? Are our eyes inherently deceptive and prone to misdirection? If so, then such flawed organs must be removed, for only in blindness can one perceive the truth: that all the world is horror.

If that wasn’t enough, Skirmisher Publishing also has two brand new bundle deals available, the first one is for the Complete CL3 Series ^[5] (All of the Cthulhu Live 3rd Edition books in one bundle) and if you already have the core book you can scoop up the Scripts Bundle ^[6] for a sweet deal.

Chaosium has several new agreements with other publishers to produce content for the Call of Cthulhu RPG. This has been a very good thing. There are some very interesting things happening at Super Genius Games, including Murder of Crows ^[7] and the just released The Doom from Below ^[8] (great for a one-shot game night, it even has pre-generated characters to hand out).

If you play the Arkham Horror board game by Fantasy Flight, they just added a couple of new free character sheets…Tycho and Gabe from Penny Arcade ^[9]. They are a tad unbalanced, but who cares? Half the fun is bringing in characters from On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness and going crazy with ’em.

Anyway, regardless of what type of Cthulhu Gamer you are…there is something new available from a variety of publishers to explore.

The stars are right…to roll some dice.
