Genre Magazine Locus Fundraises with Acclaimed Authors

US-based Locus Magazine, which debuted in 1968, is a cornerstone of the fantasy, science fiction, and horror genre. Not only does the magazine review books and offer thought-provoking essays, the nonprofit magazine also hosts the Locus Awards, writing workshops, and so much more to help nurture aspiring authors, promote existing writers, and build community.
“Locus Magazine has worked tirelessly for decades, helping build this wonderful community.”
— Diana Pho, editor
To boost funding in light of tariffs, the magazine launched a crowdfunding campaign. The Locus Mag: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror 2025 IndieGoGo Campaign offers rewards that range from chats with authors such as Ken Liu, Tim Pratt, and Max Gladstone to signed copies of horror novels from Christopher Barzak and Silvia Moreno-Garcia as well as critiques from authors including Tade Thompson.
Whether you’re a reader or a writer, the rewards for this campaign offer a little something for everyone. Check out Locus Mag Fundraiser on Indie GoGo and share the link if you can. Every little bit helps.
