Call of Cthulhu Adventure “Murder of Crows” PDF Version Released by SGG

Posted on August 16, 2008 by Flames

Super Genius Games (SGG) is proud to announce that Murder of Crows will be available for purchase as a PDF beginning Wednesday, August 13.

“This is the first Call of Cthulhu product published under our license with Chaosium, Inc.,” said Hyrum Savage, President of SGG, “and we couldn’t be happier or more excited. We’ve been working on this and other Call of Cthulhu products for months, and it’s great to see them start to reach the audience at large.”

Murder of Crows is a 32-page adventure that includes pre-generated characters and everything a group will need for an evening’s worth of Lovecraftian fun, except for dice and the Call of Cthulhu game rules themselves.

“This is a classic Call of Cthulhu investigation,” said Stan!, Creative Director of SGG and designer of Murder of Crows. “It pits the investigators against the forces of nature gone haywire. The town of Bethlehem, NH is overrun by crows that attack anyone who sets foot in the surrounding woods, its leading citizen has gone missing, and its sole source of income is completely cut off. This adventure is set in the 1920s, but is easily adaptable to other eras of play. ”

The PDF version of Murder of Crows will be available through RPGNow.com and the Chaosium online store, for the price of $7.99. But as part of the “Can’t Make It To Gen Con” promotion, the adventure will be released for a limited time only at the discounted price of $5.99.

The print version of Murder of Crows will be released and sold through game stores everywhere beginning in late August (sales price $12.00).

About Chaosium, Inc.

Chaosium, (Kay-Oss-Eum) is known for publishing high quality books & games, and for having a well-developed sense of fun.

In 1975 the company was founded as The Chaosium by Greg Stafford. It was later incorporated as Chaosium Inc. Chaosium thrives in the mild climate, gorgeous surroundings, and gentle earthquakes of the San Francisco Bay area.

Most of Chaosium’s product lines are based upon literary sources. H.P. Lovecraft’s 1920’s horror fiction provides the basis of the classic Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game line which has won so many awards that the we have lost count, though we do know that there are more than 70 of them. Mr. Lovecraft also provides the inspiration for our many Call of Cthulhu fiction collections.

In 2005, Chaosium celebrated our 30th anniversary. In 2006, Call of Cthulhu celebrated its 25th anniversary.
