In Volo’s Wake for D&D 5th Edition is Now Available!

Posted on January 31, 2017 by Flames

In Volo's WakeVolo’s Guide to Monsters is a rich, story-based supplement for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. The supplement is described as:

“The esteemed loremaster Volothamp Geddarm is back and he’s written a fantastical dissertation, covering some of the most iconic monsters in the Forgotten Realms. Unfortunately, the Sage of Shadowdale himself, Elminster, doesn’t believe Volo gets some of the important details quite right. Don’t miss out as Volo and Elminster square off (academically speaking of course) to illuminate the uninitiated on creatures both common and obscure. Uncover the machinations of the mysterious Kraken Society, what is the origin of the bizarre froghemoth, or how to avoid participating in the ghastly reproductive cycle of the grotesque vargouille.”

To celebrate the release of Volo’s Guide to Monsters, Wizards of the Coast commissioned an introductory developed by Shawn Merwin called “In Volo’s Wake” for the D&D Adventurer’s League.

This series of adventures, written by Rich Lescouflair, Shawn Merwin, and Monica Valentinelli, explores the town of Phandalin, missing townsfolk, and a whole lot more. The adventures kick off at Level One–perfect for starting players!

The town of Phandalin, nestled in the foothills to the east of the Sword Mountains, continues to grow since being rebuilt after the devastation wrought by rampaging orc hordes. It recently survived violent gang activity, drow machinations, and even the attention of a green dragon.

But can it withstand a new threat, bizarre but no less perilous: the fame brought by a visit from none other than loremaster Volothamp Geddarm?

Now, In Volo’s Wake is available for all fans of Dungeons & Dragons in PDF format at the Flames Rising RPGNow Shop and DMsGuild.com.
