The Midnight Show is a new Halloween album dropping on September 28th. The album, produced by Rondo-award nominee Sam Haynes, includes musical influences such as The Cramps, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and The Banshees, and The Prodigy.
Every year, Sam Haynes releases a horror album for Halloween, and this year’s tracks offer a variety of sounds and influences. Vocalist Maxy B makes her debut at the Midnight Show with two new singles ‘Its Halloween’ and ‘Halloween Dance’, both destined to become party playlist staples.
Cleopatra the Alchemist, from the band ‘Eusapia’ contributes an unsettling performance with ‘Covered in Flies’ a dark 80s-inspired gothic love song with sinister undertones. Gary Bennett from the band Oktober appears once more with his excellent guitar work. The remainder of the album is a mix of classic Sam Haynes style with elements of techno, industrial, gothic, psychobilly, prog and synthwave.
Since 2012, Sam Haynes has released annual albums that regularly hit the number one spot on Bandcamp’s Halloween chart. Genre hopping, ground breaking and essential for any Haunted House Party playlist. This year’s collection The Midnight Show took a year to record and features great new music for the season, including new songs with vocalists Cleopatra The Alchemist and Maxy B.
