The Free Peoples of Middle-earth recover from the hardships of the War of the Ring, believing their victory over Sauron’s forces to be complete. But in a distant corner of Mordor, beyond the plateau of Gorgoroth, the fiery hatred of an ancient bloodline has been rekindled.
Not every shadow fled when Mordor’s fires dimmed, and some of the Dark Lord’s oldest servants issue forth to threaten those who caused their master to fall. As terrible howls pierce the night, the were-wolves of Mordor emerge to rend the peace with teeth and claw!
Daybreak Games and Standing Stone Games have officially launched The Wolves of Mordor, the latest expansion for The Lord of the Rings Online.
In this new expansion, players will journey beyond Gorgoroth, where a wolf-wraith long thought bound, has been set loose. While gathering unlikely allies and uncovering the secrets hidden in Mordor’s forgotten corners, they’ll explore the uncharted wilds of Draugardh across three new regions: Heledhris, scorched by Mount Doom; the jagged plains of Parth Rhavas; and the shrouded forests of Nan Ogol. Encounters will feature the feared beasts of Draugardh: were-wolves, wolf-revering Easterlings, and other long-forgotten figures.
Players will learn Tactics, Lessons, Skills, and Enhancements from the people who call this dangerous region home, and will be able to mix and match them to build their own playstyle across all their characters on the server. Home becomes more cozy with Neighbours–companions who can move to a player’s home and forge unique friendships through stories, gifts, and daily missions.
This update includes three editions:
• Standard Edition ($39.99): Includes the expansion, a “Were-hunter” title, and two Neighbours.
• Collector’s Edition ($79.99): Adds the “Dauntless” cosmetic set, character boosts, and a third Neighbour.
• Ultimate Fan Bundle ($129.99): Adds the “Were-wolf Hunter’s” cosmetic set, the Scar the Hunter’s Hound pet, a fourth Neighbour, a housing teleport, shared storage slots, an XP boost and more.
